FAQs
How do anti-wrinkle injections work?
The movements of the facial muscles are controlled by signals from the brain. Anti-Wrinkle injections simply prevent the muscles from responding to these messages.
Anti-wrinkle injections are injected into the muscles of the wrinkle and frown line affected areas. This acts to relax the muscles, making them unable to move to the degree they normally are able to. This results in smoother skin which is less prone to wrinkling and furrowing.
Anti-wrinkle treatments & expectations
At your consultation our highly trained and experienced doctors and nurses, examine and assess your areas of concern and recommend a suitable treatment plan.
The anti-wrinkle injections are injected into the specific muscles that are contracting and cause the lines and wrinkles. The treatment is safe and effective, and takes approximately ten minutes. The pain is a minimal “pin prick” and no anaesthetic is required.
Anti wrinkle injection treatments usually last between three to six months and fade away gradually. Following several treatments the results may last longer and in some cases treatments may last up to eight to twelve months.

How does it work?
Dermal fillers are an easy and effective way to rejuvenate, reshape and boost the natural volume of skin around the face area to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and enhance the natural contours. The treatment involves the application of Dermal Filler Injections into the affected areas. The ingredients in Dermal Fillers bind with the water in your skin to restore elasticity and fullness for healthy, natural looking skin.
Dermal Fillers are an effective way to control lines and wrinkles or to reshape and enhance the contours of your face. They can also create fuller, luscious lips to accentuate the lip line or create a more defined cupids bow.
Dermal filler injections treatments & expectations
Dermal Filler treatments involve the injecting of filler into the skin below the affected area, to supplement collagen lost by the skin. The treatment fills out lines and furrows to give you a younger softer appearance.
In the first day or so after your treatment you may experience some redness, swelling and tenderness in the treated areas. These reactions are normal and resolve quickly.
Dermal Filler treatments usually last between six to nine months and fade away gradually. Following several treatments the results may last longer, and in some cases treatments may last over twelve months.
FAQs
What areas can be treated?
Silhouette Soft® can be used to treat various parts of the face:
• Contours of the face
• Jaw line
• Jowls
• Cheeks and mid face area
• Under-eye hollow
• Neck
How is Silhouette Soft® different to other types of “Thread Lifts”?
Silhouette soft threads, made in the USA, are the most superior type of threads on the market in terms of design and suture material, because the cone technology of Silhouette Soft provides 360 degrees of "catch" of the tissue to be lifted as opposed to most other types of threads on the market that are designed with "spikes".
Most of the other types of threads on the market are Korean-made PDO threads which provides minimal lifting and causes mostly "scar tissue" formation rather than true collagen formation.
Silhouette Soft® Thread treatment & expectations
The Silhouette Soft threads and cones generally dissolve over approximately 12 to 18 months, but during that time, they stimulate the growth of collagen around the area. This collagen (called “Type I Collagen) still presents there after 2 years from the time of the procedure. Most patients can dispaly an improved cosmetic result even after 2 years.
We recommend a review with the treating doctor again around 24 months after the procedure to see if a repeat procedure is required.
